Soupcon is a small intimate restaurant, which is situated in Hastings' historic old town, it provides informal dining in a relaxed atmosphere and the restaurant prides itself on the quality of their food and wines. The menu, which changes regularly, offers a selection of simple classic dishes, prepared using the very best seasonal and local produce.
This is a small restuarant, and easily missed as you walk down the street. Because of its size, you really must book or you will probably be disappointed! They have a good range of food, mainly meat and fish though so veggies beware! The fish is obviously Hastings caught, and fresh as its literally across the road from the fish markets. My partner had a fish dish and she thought it was cooked to perfection.I had a meat based dish and this was cooked perfectly as well. Prices aren't cheap, but you are paying for quality which you really do get in abundance here!

restaurant, food is well cooked, nice menu, local hastings fish best to book to avoid dissapointment
Everyone has been wondering why there were no quality restaurants in Hastings - now suddenly there are two!, this one 'Soupcon' and 'St Clements' in St Leonards - old town hastings has up and come!Soupcon is a small (booking essential)busy and friendly place right on the quaint old town high street. The food is British/French with a South African twist, well cooked and presented: Fresh fish from the local (sustainable) fishing fleet and meat dishes.highly recommended
