14 Mount Pleasant Road, ,I have a small problem with this café. Should you only require a refreshing drink you are faced with scorn and disgust and left feeling as though you have to justify why you don’t want to eat. The drinks themselves are nice – latte good taste and size. Standard items on the menu – jacket spuds, toasties, omelettes and sandwiches. Home made soup is often available which is pleasant enough. The takeaway sandwiches don’t have much taste therefore I can’t rave about them however the quiche is rather good. Inside is quite cramped – try not to sit at the back right where the leftover food is scraped! Lunchtime is often busy and you have to squeeze yourself around an array of pushchairs. Newspapers are provided should you want a cake, brew and to catch up on current affairs.
