13 Middle Row, Town Centre,I found this small privately owned take away by chance and i am glad i did. Have since visited on a number of occassions and sampled the delightful home cooked pastries and cakes, not to mention the sandwiches which are made to order, while you wait. This is like no other take away, the quaint "olde world" ambience, friendly service and home cooked and prepared food to die for, make this establishment a must for hungry visitors to the town.A word of advice, try the baked on the premises rock cakes, they melt in the mouth and once bitten (pun unintended!!) you will definately return for more. But be quick as they sell out quick due to their popularity.
I have been to various other take aways in Ashford and can honestly say The Carvery make the best sarnies, the staff are always friendly and usually know what you are going to buy before you do! If you time it right first thing in the morning you get home made sausage rolls or bacon and cheese twists straight from the oven - not good for the waistline but really tasty and well worth the money.
